Hello Toggin Community!

Hopefully everyone had a super fabulous Christmas and is once again ready to rock in a NEW YEAR!

I'm a non-traditional college student, meaning tried college right outta high school, and it wasn't for me then. Did some living in the 'real world' both here in Ohio and Florida. Came back home and went back to school, for the long haul this time!

College the second time around is completely different! I loved my first-time experiences and wish that I had been in the right frame of mind to have finished then. However, this time around I'm serious about wanting this and trying to forge a better life for myself. Let me tell you-retail is great as a part-time job, but as a career NO WAY!

The second time round feels like I'm more of an observer and less of a participant. I think much more about my actions and their consequences. I now know how to navigate throughout all the BS that college admin. has to offer such as advisers and scheduling. I know to speak up and ask, sometimes screaming to be heard IS necessary, for what I want/need. I know how professors think and where they are coming from and how to find the middle ground.

However, somethings never change. I still love my friends and family, their a immense help to getting through life, let alone college! I still love to get my buzz and shake my ass! I still love to learn! (Just wish I didn't have to pay for it!) AND no matter how much time passes, I still get pissed off when I go to sell back my $150.00 new book and it's not being used for the next semester!
